The large 40GB Hard Disk Drive allows the user to record over 5 hours of High Definition video at it's highest quality (XP mode). By reducing recording quality to LP mode, users can achieve over 15 hours of High Definition recording!
4.0 Megapixel still capture (2.3 Megapixel still capture while recording movies)

Film Roll Index and Face Index
One press of the body-mounted Film Roll button makes it possible to preview the beginning of scenes and create scene indexes set at specified display intervals (3, 6, or 12 seconds and 1 or 5 minutes) ?perfect for seeing what was recorded in a long take. The SR5 also incorporates face detection technology, allowing the user to play scenes simply by pressing the human faces detected during shooting.
Natural colour reproduction - x.v.Colour
