SAVER
DESCRIPTION This Standard Class single or return ticket is available for most journeys over approximately 50 miles. Some restrictions may apply in morning and evening peak, Monday to Friday.
TRAIN OPERATOR Most Train Operating Companies
BOOKING DEADLINES Walk-up ticket: can be purchased either in advance or on day of travel.
DISCOUNTS Child fares and most Railcard discounts apply
REFUNDS Full refund minus a GBP 10.00 cancellation fee for a ticket that is wholly unused and returned complete, within 28 days of its expiry date.
Part refunds may be availble on un-used portion of a Saver Return. Refund will be Saver Return minus cost of the appropriate walk up fare on portion of journey used minus admin fee. In most cases this will not be a positive amount, but where it is then a refund may be applied for.
CHANGES TO TRAVEL PLANS If the outward date is to be changed, cancel and rebook.
CONDITIONS Outward/single journey must be on the date on the ticket. Return journey must be made within one calendar month. May be subject to time restrictions. Reservations are not essential but are recommended for longer journeys.
BREAK OF JOURNEY Valid for break of journey on return portion of a return ticket only.
AVAILABILITY Available on most journey on any days.
VALIDITY Valid every day but not allowed on certain Monday to Friday peak trains. Definition of peak period is dependent on route. No time restrictions Saturdays, Sundays or Bank Holidays.
