The Univerity has recently made a decision that students in various Faculties,
incluing Informatics, will NOT be permitted to enrol after classes start. The
University's various representatives have been advised of this accordingly.
The compulsory orientation and enrolment starts on Monday 15 July - the
deadline of 19 July is therefore effectively already one working week late.
No further extension will be given.
So unfortunately, if you do turn up late, you will not be permitted to enrol
in your course. I'm sorry that this sounds harsh, but I'm advising you of
this now because you will have to return home if you arrive and cannot enrol.
Hence you are advised to defer.
Unless you advise me immediately that it is possible for you to obtain your
visa and arrive by 19 July, I will advise admissions to defer your offer until
Autumn 2003.
I regret that this must be the case, but it is not in your interests to miss
classes for this difficult course.
