持澳洲护照想去台湾应该申请什么签证比较好？

看了一下申请工作假期签证还要体检，验好多东西：HIV、照胸、肠镜等等……估计要在医院待一天，而且费用还不清楚要多少。（medicare过期还没去更新）
另外一种是短期观光，最多可以申请180天，但是不知道能不能在台湾境内续签。如果不行，回国的签证还要办多次出入的。纠结啊。请问一下各位或身边的朋友有没有有类似这种情况的经验？

我華裔或白人澳洲朋友都想留在台灣 不過 都被我拉回來  我都告訴他們等他們想好可以在台灣找到甚麼樣的工作再說
