BEIJING: European jet maker Airbusrolled out the first aircraft built at its China factory today and saidit plans to produce 10 more this year. The plane is the first Airbusassembled outside Europe.

TheA320 jet was assembled in Tianjin, east of Beijing, Amelia Xu, anAirbus spokeswoman in Beijing, said Monday. The plane was to bedelivered to Dragon Aviation Leasing and operated by Sichuan Airlinesin southwestern China, she said."We are planning to deliver around 11A320 jets this year," Xu said. |
