UNSW now has a system of quotas limiting the total student enrolment in all programs. Please note that high demand programs such as postgraduate and
undergraduate Commerce and Economics programs fill their quota quickly.
In fact the next available semester for programs offered by the Faculty of
Commerce and Economics is Semester One (March) 2003. We recommend therefore
that if you wish to apply for a commerce or economics program that you apply
as early as possible and if you get an offer - accept that offer within the
given time of three weeks. Other programs for which there is high demand are
in the area of Computer Science. The Undergraduate Medicine and Bachelor
of Arts (Media and Communications) degrees - as they have few places to offer - also fill quickly so we suggest applying early for these programs as well.
