One of Australia's leading mail companies is currently seeking an experienced Purchasing & Logistics Officer to join our busy office located in Alexandria.
The ideal candidate will be the sole point of contact internally and will channel quote and order requests to various suppliers who provide print, paper, envelopes and finishing services, while also maintaining optimum levels of all in-house consumables. You will also be responsible for booking and tracking of appropriate freight services on a daily basis.
You will need to have an outgoing personality, be presentable, energetic and self-motivated. This role requires a person with great negotiating skills, the ability to work within limited timeframes and deliver cost effective solutions that add value to our broad range of services.
Other essential duties will include:
Obtaining external quotes on behalf of Customer Service and Sales Teams.
Providing detailed specifications & timelines to suppliers.
Receiving and distribution of artwork and proofs.
Monitoring external orders and ensuring timelines are met. Managing purchase order register and quoting modules.
Arranging and tracking transport services as required Maintaining internal stock levels and stock management systems. Ideally you will have:
