Thanks a lot, Tyna. The position that I have got is that of an AP Officer for a contract period of 3 months. I would like to thank you for the support and guidance that you had provided me during the last 2 months in platinum. The interview tips and encouragement that you had given were invaluable. I always found you as a very approachable and friendly person. Same holds good for Carol and Yolanda. Also the training modules imparted helped to refresh my accounting knowledge as well as increase my confidence. With respect to training I would like to thank Carol and you. Both of you made sure that people understood the concepts clearly while training. Both of you (Tyna and Carol) are excellent mentors. Also Ann I found to be a good tutor. Even for the internships, all of the junior accountants were really very helpful. I would like to thank all of them at this moment (Ann, Lucas, Frank, Arthur and Dickson). Let me give you the list of main questions that I was asked during my interview. 1. What are your duties in Platinum? What work do you do? 2. Since I had overseas experience, they had asked me about that. For example what is the process like in the accounting software that you had used overseas. How long you have been in Australia? 3. Do you know about foreign currency exchange and conversions? This question is specifically related to this particular role which needs me to enter invoices in foreign currencies and convert them to base currency. 4. Generally is there anything thet you don't like about co-employees? 5. What kind of a person you are? Do you like to work in teams or autonomously? 6. Why do you want to take up this role? What is your reason for leaving platinum? These are some of the questions that I could recollect. Hope this can be helpful for all the interns in their job hunt.
