In some situations, you can be awarded selection-points for a job that you have arranged before applying for permanent residence.

You are currently working in Canada on a temporary work visa (including sectoral confirmation.)
Conditions:
Your work permit will be valid for 12 or more months after you apply for a permanent resident visa.
Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job.

You are currently working in Canada in a job that does not need confirmation by Human Resources Development Canada (HRDC) under an international agreement or a significant-benefit category (for example, you are an intra-company transferee.)
Conditions:
Your work permit will be valid for 12 or more months after you apply for a permanent resident visa.
Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job.

You do not currently have a work permit, and you do not intend to work in Canada before being issued a permanent resident visa.

You have a full-time job offer that has been confirmed by HRDC).
Your employer has made an offer to give you a permanent job.
You meet any Canadian licensing or regulatory standards required for the job.
Notes:
You cannot arrange for an HRDC confirmation. Your employer must do this.
HRDC will confirm job offers in occupations listed in Skill Type 0, Skill Level A or B of the National Occupation Classification.
