The UCL Language Centre offers a range of full-time English for general and academic purposes courses, designed to meet the needs of overseas students wishing to further their education at a British university and those aiming to use English for professional purposes.

Threshold English Language Course: 6th October 2003 - 28th May 2004
General English Course: 12th January - 19th March 2004
Graduate Preparatory Course: 19th April - 3rd September 2004
Pre-Sessional English Language Courses:
12 weeks: 14th June - 3rd September 2004
8 weeks: 12th July - 3rd September 2004
5 weeks: 2nd August - 3rd September 2004
Summer General English Course: 5th July - 30th July 2004
Please find attached an application form, which you should return to me together with a copy of a recent IELTS, TOEFL or other recognised test score. If you have not taken such a test, I will be happy to send you by post or e-mail the Language Centre Placement Test, used to assess your current English Language level and academic and professional objectives
Applicants are able to apply for UCL accommodation via the Language Centre once they have been offered a place on a Language Centre course and paid their course fees. In the meantime, please see the Residence Office website for more information:
