I plan to land in Toronto at the end of August for 5 days and return to continue to work for my current company which is not in Canada. Someone told me that I don't need to apply for SIN and health card, just need to have the maple card (PR card) send to a friend's address. My question is that if I don't apply for SIN card, I don't have to pay tax. Is that right? Does anyone know the policy about that?
