：
INA 222(g)规定：非移民签证持有者逾期居留，则签证自动失效。（If an alien over
stays on a nonimmigrant visa, that visa is automatically voided. ）这个条例对
B签证尤其适用，关键在于是否有非法居留期，具体来说：
1. 如果B2签证持有者未申请延期而居留超过I94上限定的时间，适用以上条例，签证失
效；
2. 如果B2签证持有者居留超过I94限定时间，之前已经及时申请延期或申请改变身份，
而申请得以批准的，不适用以上条例，签证仍然有效；
3. 如果B2签证持有者居留超过I94限定时间，之前已经及时申请延期或申请改变身份，
而申请被拒绝的，被拒绝时申请人仍然在美国境内，适用以上条例，签证失效；
4. 延期被拒，但是被拒时没有超过I94限度时间，并且及时在限定时间前离开美国，签
证依然有效。
5. 如果B2签证持有者居留超过I94限定时间，之前已经及时申请延期或申请改变身份，
而申请被拒绝的，但申请人在申请结果未定时已经离开美国，则豁免以上条例，签证仍
保持有效。

Two notes to add:
1. A person who has overstayed in the US and subject to the
penalty under INA 222(g) must apply for his next visa only
in his country of citizenship or the country where he has
legal permanent residency, and not in another third
country (there are a few exceptions).
2. In the not-so-common case where a person simultaneously
holds two or more valid US nonimmigrant visas and overstays
his visit, only the visa corresponding to the overstay
becomes void under INA 222(g). The other visas remain valid.
