The Open University Business School and its programmes are recognised and accredited by a number of professional organisations including:
Association of MBAs (AMBA) The OUBS MBA counts for one quarter of all MBAs who graduate with an AMBA accredited qualification. The European Foundation for Management Development has accredited OUBS for the international relevance of its programmes. 64 business schools have now been awarded the European Quality Label as of 26 November 2003, after successfully going through the quality assessment process of the European Quality Improvement System (EQUIS).
Initial feedback from the AACSB Review Team has been extremely positive and OUBS awaits the decision of the Accreditation Committee which meets on 29th March. OUBS expects to be notified of the Committee's decision by 7th April. To date, fewer than 15% of all business schools worldwide have earned AACSB (Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business) accreditation. If successful, OUBS will the first distance-only institution to be accredited and one of a small handful of UK business schools with accreditation by AACSB, AMBA and EQUIS.The others include Lancaster, LBS and Warwick. |
