This unique masters course boasts extremely close links with industry, giving students significantly enhanced job prospects on graduating. Over half the students on the course are on secondment from industry, including international organisation such as Ford Motor Company. In addition to lectures delivered by DeMontfort University’s dedicated and professional teaching staff, lectures by experts from industry and visits to companies account for over 50% of the teaching time. The teaching and research facilities available to the students are outstanding, including some of the latest rapid prototyping, reverse engineering and virtual prototyping equipment.
The course comprises of a choice of 8 modules covering all aspect of RPD including;
? Rapid Prototyping
? Computer Aided Design
? Concurrent Engineering
? High Speed Machining
? Rapid Tooling
? Virtual Prototyping
? Reverse Engineering
? Design Analysis
Followed by a 15 week individual project linked
to industry or a university research programme.
