services. Our business is located in Westmead, Sydney. We seek a Retail Buyer to plan, select and purchase goods for
resale in our retail establishment. The key duties of the position will include: Monitor sales data and stock levels; Study
trade, manufacturer, supplier and market information to keep informed of changing market conditions; Source and
contact manufacturers and suppliers, and negotiate purchase, promotion and supply arrangements with them; Design,
develop and implement pricing, marketing, promotional and product display strategies; Liaise with, and assist, the
company on long term planning and sales promotions; Establish working plans according to seasonal and budgetary
requirements; Monitor and anticipate consumer trends to determine quantity, style and quality of goods to be
purchased; Inspect goods to ensure conformity with orders and specifications. The successful candidate will have a
Diploma in Business or Management and relevant experience in a supermarket environment. As the position will require,
among others, communication with manufacturers and suppliers in China, fluency in the Chinese language is essential. |
