Please join me in congratulating Akira’s new Bookkeeper role at animmigrationand education company in the Adelaide CBD.

Like most of graduates, due to a lack of hands-on skills in the professionalenvironment, she felt difficulty in finding an accounting job and didn’t evenget one chance to attend an interview back to then. She worked in other area tosupport her daily life but she never give up her dream. Wisely, She joinedPlatinum and become Junior Assistant Accountant candidate due to goodperformance in Platinum.

Akira underwent comprehensive technical skills training and felt much moreconfident in performing accounting work. She accumulated related experienceafter she successfully finished all the internship work with us.

Good news to share. Finally I have secured a position as Bookkeeper in an immigrationand education company which becomes my first professional job in mycareer.

I am happy to share myinterview experience with you all. I have went through 2 stages ofthe interview before securing this job.

1. Phone interview:

I received a phone call right after submitting my application. Theinterview process last for 15 minutes. Standard questions focused on whyaccounting, what do I know about this company and my experience (introduceyourself), etc

2. Face to face interview (with finance manager and HR)

Following phone interview I was invited to aface to face interview session after. It lasted for30 minutes. Questions target mostly on technical understanding and skillstowards accounting:

·       Tell us about your responsibilities in Platinum Accounting?

·       Tell us how you did help senior accountant with payroll & BASpreparation?

·       What do you know about Xero?

Iwould like to take this opportunity to thank all of you in giving exceptional support during my training.

The internship really gave me so much confidence at the interview. Iam sure what I learned at Platinum willbe useful when I start my job. Really appreciate that.
