　　来到澳洲后的几年内，邱晨原有的想法发生了变化。她决定学一门可以自食其力的专业，而不是以体育运动为生。这等于彻底放弃自己原有的成就、地位，从零开始，要有极大的勇气，特别是她已27岁。这时，阿德莱德市篮球俱乐部给邱晨开出了优厚的聘用条件，给她一座带花园的住宅和一辆高档轿车。就这样，邱晨来到了这座澳大利亚第三大城市担任教练，同时在南澳大学选择了容易找工作的商业管理专业攻读学士。

　　1997年已经34岁的邱晨开始攻读硕士，到今年终于拿到硕士学位。在中国体育明星中，能够在海外取得体育以外专业硕士学位的，尚属罕见。
