新的护照拿到之后，一定要带齐两本护照一起到移民局再贴张新的签证在新护照上，而且移民局也需要您新护照的信息。这样旧护照就可以留作纪念，安心做古董了。

PS：把签证移到新护照上是不用再花钱的。

护照到期前6个月才可以换，所以正常来讲，是的。
关于护照照片的问题，保险起见，您可以在换护照的当天照，换护照那里有人帮你照，只不过记得带Cash。
