Postgraduate Studentships: Adjustment of Stipend values
The Policy Board of Postgraduate Education (Policy Board) has
recently conducted a review of the stipend values of PGS.
The Council has approved the recommendation of the Policy Board
that each of the four stipend values of PGS be adjusted downwards
by $500 per month i.e. to $13,000, $13,700, $14,400 and $15,100
pm, with effect from September 1, 2003.
The new stipend values will be applicable to:
(a) all new qualified MPhil and PhD students registering on or
after September 1, 2003; and
(b) all existing PGS holders upon renewal of their PGS on or after
September 1, 2003.
