在责任的问题上，要考虑的，该电加热器是租客的，还是业主提供。如果是租客的物件，那么表面上是由租客负责。如果是业主提供的，如故定在牆上的，那么表面上便须由业主负责。
就算是业主提供的 ，那么更要考虑到使用时是否正常合理。如果租客不正常使用电加热器，或疏忽大意，如将毛巾放在加热器上，那么这便成租客的责任。
其他考虑的因素，包括是怎样起火，房子有没有基本的滅火设备，起火后租客有没有采取適當的设施，去减底损失等等！
