孩子为什么在百忙之中还要学习画画？这是前几天一个朋友特意打电话向我提出的问题。她的宝宝四岁半了，所以这个问题迫在眉睫，在这里我对这个朋友和一些现在仍搞不太懂画画能给孩子带来什么的一些家长做些回答。
至今有许多家长仍然弄不明白，儿童美术教育，并不以培养少数画家为目的，它是对人进行心理、思想、情操和人格的教育。是人的素质教育，是全面育人的教育。让儿童参加美术活动本身并不是目的，而是手段和方法。因为，美术活动可以培养儿童的观察力、记忆力、想像力和创造力，使儿童借绘画表现，舒展内在的意欲和情感，从而培养孩子美的情操和陶冶完美人格。
一、通过绘画观察儿童智力成长状况。我们可以根据儿童作画的过程和内容，观察分析得知儿童成长的情况，也可以从同龄儿童比较中，了解儿童成长特点的快慢。
二、通过绘画窥视儿童内心世界。儿童绘画是我们了解孩子的窗口，从他们的画中可以了解他们的认知能力，他们的情感、心绪、性格、兴趣和爱好，从而进一步关心和教育他们健康成长。
三、通过绘画了解儿童性格与爱好。 总之，儿童通过绘画把脑海中的意象、心绪以及对周围事物的认识表达出来。可以说儿童画是儿童的全部自我表现，在绘画中，表现了他的思想、感情、兴趣和对外部世界的认识。
因此，如果你想更好地了解孩子，教育孩子，就要掌握儿童绘画这把钥匙。

另外，我作为一名教师恳请各位家长朋友们记住我上面提到的一句话：不要站在成人的角度，用成人的眼光去评价孩子们的画，其实往往你们的一句不当的话会让你们这么多年的辛苦白费。
