IPG International Postgraduate Preparation Programme

About the course
This course has been designed to meet the needs of international students who wish to do postgraduate study at the University of Glamorgan or any other British university but who need preparation in academic English skills and acculturation beforehand. This programme also offers students the opportunity to study their subject area through the medium of English before embarking on their higher degree.
This is a university-wide programme and prepares students for study in all Schools. It is centred in the School of Humanities & Social Sciences with specific co-ordination by staff in the English Language for International Students Unit who have many years of experience working with international students both in the UK and in many different parts of the world. It will give students the opportunity to become familiar with the demands of British university life, particularly in relation to its academic requirements and unique teaching and learning approaches. The admission to IPG is a dual procedure. This means the application will be looked at by both the IPG Award Tutor and the Admission Tutor of the applicant’s chosen subject area. Once the application is accepted, the student has the right of automatic progression to their chosen programme of study after successful completion of IPG.

• European Computer Driving Licence
• Modules from undergraduate programmes in the subject area you will be studying at postgraduate level
