Reporting into the Plant Accountant, this entry level role will primarily be responsible for analysing detailed workings of the operation and assist with product costing as well as provide administrative support to the Plant Accountant.
Additional responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
? Generation and analysis of weekly manufacturing data
? Maintaining the standard costing system to ensure a high degree of accuracy
? Assisting in the preparation of factory operational budgets / forecasts and the planning, evaluation and verification of capital expenditure proposals
? Preparing monthly balance sheet reconciliations and supporting schedules and ensuring the correctness of the accounts
? Assisting in the preparation of monthly reports by providing variance analysis and information to the Plant Accountant
To be successful in this role you will be tertiary qualified in accounting or near completion of your accounting degree, along with a good capacity to learn new systems and processes. You will be able to demonstrate excellent communication skills with a strong attention to detail and the desire to drive your career in the accounting/finance field. Lastly, you are a team player who brings an enthusiastic and positive approach to their work.
