Four things you need to do first: 1: skill assessment I've done mine via CA at the cost of $395 and received the result in one week. CA is much quicker than CPA on skill assessment. Do this as early as possible because it takes at least a month.

Documents needed for this step:
1)passport, which class of the visa u r applying for
2)You also need to form 26 and 161 from www.immi.gov.au.
3)photos? not sure... can't remember now, please double check with the staff. 4: IELTS exam I think everyone know about this but if you haven't get four 7s, please make booking for another exam as soon as possible, as without four 7s you will wait forever... Now for the documents I sent in with the application form:
1. transcript
2. letter of completion
3. Academic awards (both bachelor n master's)
4. receipt of health check/ the result of the health check (it's in an envelope which should not be opened by yourself)
5. police check
6. birth certificate
7. Chinese police check
8. bank cheque (for the application fee) u can use credit card too
9: IELTS result
10. passport copy
11. skill assessment result
